Dear Ambassador HE Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa,

On behalf of the Buddhist community in Australia, the President and Committee of the Federation of Australian Buddhist Councils hereby express our deepest condolences on the passing away of His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara Somdet Phra Sangharaja.

This is a sad occasion for the Buddhists in Australia and around the world. We are heartened to learn that the Supreme Patriarch Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara Somdet Phra Sangharaja passed away peacefully. At the age of 100, he has indeed lived a long life of great service to the people and to Buddhism in Thailand and around the world.
We are aware of his life achievements and of his good and respectable nature and observe how he is being respectfully farewelled by the Thai Royal Family, government and the people of Thailand.

Once again, especially on behalf of the Thai communities and temples throughout Australia please accept our condolences and sincere wishes on this national occasion.

With best wishes to the people of Thailand on this solemn occasion.
